Pickstock Construction constructed a new print works for Dobson & Crowther, a leading player in the direct mail print industry, based in Llangollen.
This project was the first of two build phases that Pickstock Construction constructed in Llangollen as part of the town’s redevelopment. The developments involve the relocation of the old Dobson & Crowther site to a new location a couple of hundred yards away, following this, the old print works was demolished by Pickstock Construction to enable them to build the second phase, a new Supermarket.
The Pickstock Group’s development company J-Ross Developments Ltd has worked tirelessly with Dobson & Crowther to ensure that the new facilities design and specifications meet all of the requirements for the business for now and in the future, not only inside the building but taking into consideration the outside infrastructure too, for example, enabling works for an incoming road at the far end of the site was built for future development and expansion opportunities.
The new print works boasts a footprint of 43,648sqft, 3,391sqft of which is office space spread over two floors. Surrounding the building is three main areas, a works area for dispatch and container storage to the rear of the building, a spacious staff car park spanning the length of one side of the building plus a small delivery area for service vehicle parking at the front of the building. There will be two vehicular entrances, one for service vehicles and a larger entrance for staff, visitors and major deliveries.
The site has a stone wall boundary with trees landscaped along the perimeter of the site to ensure the look of this picturesque town is maintained.
