|Project Title:||Cefn Mawr|
|Project Size:||2322 sqm Food Store & Football Stadium|
|The Client:||Tesco / Cefn Mawr Football Club|
Pickstock Construction successfully delivered this major re-generation project, a new 25,000 sq ft (Net Sales) eco-foodstore in the centre of Cefn Mawr, re-energising locals shopping choices and drawing shoppers back to Cefn Mawr. Tesco was selected as the operator creating 140 new jobs in the town. The town centre re-development has been the economic generator that re-located the Cefn Druids Football Club to a new purpose built and fully compliant football stadium. The planning application for the Town Centre site and the re-location sites was put before a committee in February 2009.
The development of the project consisted of land assembly of numerous land interests to enable the relocation of Cefn Druids Football Club from its existing town centre site. J-Ross Developments worked closely with the Football Club in the design of the up to date facility.
To ensure the re-generation project was a success close partnerships were formed with the Community Council, County Council and regional Government in addition to liaising with national and local politicians
